Wasted Blood (Ohio Hardcore/PV)

Hello all...my band is called Wasted Blood and were a hardcore band from Ashtabula OH. Were young (15-16) but, have been around for almost 2 years. good tunes, you guys could work on your name though. i once wrote a song called wasted blood.. this is i why i say that. im not trying to cause problem, however you guys should do a little history about cleveland music just before you go around stealing names...

Let's watch the criticisms/accusations of things like "stealing names" which seems to me to be completely unfounded. This board is not a place for any of that, okay? Keep it lighthearted and positive.

I did both those eps. So you might just be picking up on my production style. There are a lot of bands in Cleveland that play PV. I don't think wasted blood sound identical to dweller at all. But it was recorded with the same drum kit, same bass amp, same mics and board, and mixed/engineered/mastered by the same guy.

its not the equpiment is the writing style. dead on. its not an insult though i think thats what they are going for and they fucking nailed it. ive never heard a band sound so similliar to dweller ever in my life. fucking sick

i think wasted blood and us play a similar style of heavy powerviolence, but if i was in their position and being compared to being identical to us, id be insulted. they're much heavier, have longer songs that are much more metal-influenced, and a completely different vocal style. it's also worth mentioning they're among the youngest kids i know making music and consistently playing shows, whereas dweller is extremely innactive. im jealous of how well they go about everything because it's better than anything i ever did when i was 15-16 by a landslide.

another thing worth mentioning is that im actually excited to see them at the Discourse show friday. i seriously doubt anyone was ever excited to see the 15/16-year-old me embarrass myself on stage.
