Not to be a debbie downer but if you guys want to get something real going you should probably respond to all emails sent to you, whether you can actually do the show or not, I have had a bunch of show offers that I couldn't do that I sent yalls way and I've received responses that their emails to you guys have gone unanswered, just ignored. If you want to do something new and good for cleveland it means being responsive to all requests. The only shows I ignore are the shitty package fake punk BS I inevitably get by fake managers, but anything past that I at least respond to. Don't give cleveland a bad name by ignoring.

Also it seems like it has already kind of fizzled out, I didn't see a july calendar go out this month.

Also not at all trying to be a dick. These are just suggestions on how to make this stronger. I've been trying to make this happen for a long time, which is why I started Root of Evil.

My guidelines for shows has always been this. I won't pay a band less than 60 (meaning if I have to pay out of pocket I will, which I why I take on less show), always cook for the band (I have a ton of great, simple and cheap vegan recipes that make it super simple to feed a band for under 15 bucks, something that you can easily pay yourself back from the show if you choose), and always make sure the band has a sleeping spot. Those are my three concerns I make sure I always do, I think it is the best way to ensure bands want to play cleveland again!

I think these are all pretty solid ideas

Agreed, these are all solid ideas. I know Elliott had a large stack of July flyers at the Pekar release show, I honestly can't say how well they were distributed though. I admittedly don't do enough to help out (no car, live in berea, third shift job,Wah!).
