Amp volume suggestions? Empty
PostSubject: Amp volume suggestions?   Amp volume suggestions? EmptySun Jul 14, 2013 11:53 pm

Anyone have any theories on getting your amp cranked to its sweet spot without murdering everyone's eardrums?
I'm using a Mesa Single rec with a Marshall 1960 lead. Can't get my master volume passed 2.
I'm wondering about opinions on hotplates vs. volume pedals, or other suggestions.

I would personally suggest something along the lines of a dr. Z z-brake. Depending how much gain you are using the power tubes will saturate at pretty low levels on the master volume knob, since there is such a hot signal leaving the pre section heading toward the power section
