| If anyone reads mainstream comics like Marvel, DC, Vertigo, Image, Avatar, etc., post here! I spend many dollars on comics and I want to know if anyone else does too and if so what exactly they spend those dollars on. I mostly read and write a lot of small press stuff, but this is my big junky nasty guilty pleasure. | |

| Definitely check out Prophet from Image. Really cool sci-fi/fantasy type stuff. Also Image put out a 4 issue series by Brandon Graham (writer of Prophet, all around 1st class cartoonist) called Multiple Warheads that is amazing.
I don't buy 'em anymore, but every now and then I flip through the X-Men books at the shop, and there's been some fantastic art in Uncanny X-Men lately, Frazer Irving and all-time favorite Chris Bachalo.

| I love Brandon Graham. I've been following Prophet in trades and in stoked that vol 2 is coming out. Also, all of the xmen relaunches are awesome. Brian Wood's coming out with a new one just called "X-Men" next Wednesday starring an all female team. | |

| Yeah except I don't get all the hype about Brian wood... He's not bad, but I've never thought anything he's written has been all that special. But I've never read his Local, Demo, or DMZ series, which I'm sure are what made him so popular | |

| I think Brian Wood is a great designer. I would have more into DMZ if he'd done the whole thing himself (the first one or two issues look great). That's all I'll say. | |

| If you liked Hellblazer, check out straczinski's new book 10 Grand. Similar stuff, with Ben templesmith doing the art.
Also, does anyone read Mike Carey's vertigo title: Unwritten?

| whats hellblazer about? i google image searched it and it looks sweet! i was talking about hellraiser which is written by clive barker and sort of continues the hellraiser lore of the first movie with some of the lore of the second movie. as i said the first like ten issues were cool after that they introduced some zombies and it got meh. I don't know about you guys but I'm for the discontinuation of zombies from any and all comics. Maybe with the exception of CROSSED.
would anybody be interested in doing a comic/graphic novel swap? (not necessarily for keepsies) Also is anybody into classic comics like pogo the possum, lil'abner, dick tracy, or e.c. stuff? somewhat relatedly, does anyone out there like MAD Magazine?

| LOL. i'd be down with that, lets just make old-tymie comics its own section so we can have a whole thread about basil wolverton! lol. I haven't , its part of osu's special collections right? theres a mad article called what if comic book heroes aged... and its listed under the yellowed kid department, just wanted to share that.

| Is Jupiter's Legacy any good? I sort of gave up on mark Millar after kick ass 2, but I heard this was good and ordered the first issue. | |
